Postcards from Italy started 3 years ago, from a sustainable and healing train trip across Italy, rediscovering places filmed 100 years ago and getting impregnati of how they look and sound nowadays.
It became the life project of two italian expat brothers in Nederlands.

MUSICA DEI LUOGHI
FOR CARILLON & DUO BOTTASSO

This collaboration comes thanks to Richard de Waardt and his Groot Rotterdams Songbook: a beautiful volume with 50 songs from 50 countries represented in the city, with scores for voice and carillon (or piano), accompanied by portraits and stories of Rotterdammers
Richard, Rotterdam’s stadsbeiaardier (city carillonneur), invited me to write a piece for Duo Bottasso & carillon, and the result is a mix of melodies and grooves drawn from the Songbook—featuring Nicolò’s warm tenor violin, a celestial mobile carillon (not a tower, but still impressively inposing), and my bassoni (my organetto’s big low reeds).

A very limited edition CD (a dozen words for thirteen, 40 copies) gathers both EPs in one reshuffled trip. Same sounds, different hallucination.

MIKIS DE GRIEK
Wonderful project by Schneemann son and dad, mixing the best Greek artists such as Vasilis Lekkas and Charis Laurijssen, with an all-stars Dutch ensemble, made of long-time friends and great musicians. To celebrate the memory of Mikis Theodorakis and stand up for a better world and society using our best antifascist weapon: MUSIC, FILMS and POETRY.
PYNARELLO: OERKNAL
In January 2025 I’ll participate as a soloist and composer to Oerknal, the new project of Pynarello, aka the insubordinate Dutch Orchestra that plays by heart and without conductor.
Prepare for a big bang explosion that naturally blends together Zarathustra, Nietzsche, Strauss, folk, jazz, contemporary music and incredible live visuals.
My composition iBRiDiTiMBRi for classical orchestra, Turkish singing (by Sinan Aratt) and organetto will be premiered too!
